While driving around ‘in the arms of an angel’ by Sarah Maclachlan starts playing. Suddenly images of sad dogs appear in front of me and I have to pull over to the side to bawl uncontrollably.

  • Do you like malts or shakes? There's a big difference!
I made this in 10th Grade for a Ancient World Empire project. We got the Ghana/Mali empire and made a dish from there. Sounds crazy and gross but, HOT Damn, it was DELISH! I must make it again soon! There are a few different versions of the recipe with some varying ingredients but all will be great! ALL WAS DONE IN A BIG POT OVER THE STOVE AND THEN KEPT HEATED IN A CROCK POT!

Poor Ppl Posters 101

NEED:  Card Stock | Modge Podge | MacBook Pro | Printer | ruler | scissors 

**The posters will be the size of regular paper (8.5” x 11”) but with YOUR choice of image, content, etc.

  • Go to images you want and take a good screen shot of them
  • to take a screen shot: hit Command, Shift, 4 (automatically saves shot to your desktop)
  • Print out your screen shots
  • Cut them to how you want to be displayed
  • Use your modge podge to “glue” it onto the cardstock in place. Let sit for a few seconds. 
  • Use foam brush to coat the whole thing (cardstock with printed image on it) in one coat of Modge Podge (Only needed on the side where the poster is.)
  • The paper will roll up on the edges as it dries but leave laying flat under a heavy book or object for a little while.
  • Try using poster tacky putty to place them on your wall in a creative way. Or do a whole grid of 8.5 x 11 posters as a focal wall.

CONGRATS! YOU MIGHT BE POOR BUT YOU HAVE AWESOME POSTERS TO DECORATE YOUR ASSUMEDLY TINY SPACE!!! LOL

What are your thoughts on Artist Statements?

  • I personally hate most of them. I know they are important but, geez, by the end of reading one, I am thinking: "WHAT??? THAT WAS A BUNCH OF WORDY BULLCRAP!" I want to just have my sketchbook open and let people see the madness involved in creating what stands before them. The process is interesting but It needs to be simple right?
